Orange and ubit Introduce New Mobile Community Proposition
Tokyo, Japan - 20th April 2006
Orange Netherlands and Ubit have collaborated in creating a brand new type of interactive mobile community service. It is launching this spring for the first time in The Netherlands for the famous supperclub of Amsterdam.
The service aims at providing the members with a full experience, including unique "sneak into" features:
- Specially designed community branded handset including branded embedded community menu featuring news, pictures, realtones and many other surprises
- Full mobile sites with member's corner
- Email and SMS mailing functionalities to the members
- Possibilities for members to publish pictures to the site via MMS or email
The site is opened to the members of the community independently of their network operator.
It is the first site of that type within The Netherlands but many others are already in preparation. More than just another mobile service, Orange and Ubit see this project as a brand new concept focusing on the user experience. They aim at providing easy and powerful tools provided to enable communities to use the mobile channel as a new and personal way to communicate with their members, without having to worry about the technical aspects.
